Wednesday's Ultrasound

I get an Ultrasound every Wednesday.  I have been a bad person at keeping up with my blogs, but I wanted to keep up with my ultrasounds.  The last post I made was last Wednesday's Ultrasound.  This week's Ultrasound we had some good news and some bad news.  My mom came up on Tuesday so she got to go to this ultrasound with me.  The baby is doing great.  He is happy and has an excellent heartbeat.  He also weighs in at 4lbs 2ounces, which is Amazing!!!  The bad news is that my fluid level went all the way down to a 6.  When it gets lower than a 5 the baby gets uncomfortable and thus, contractions start and you go into labor.  I have been drinking water, water, water, trying to up the fluids.  The doctor says he is doing great, but that low of a fluid level worries me.  I was also put on bed rest all day yesterday from having severe cramps and bleeding.  Today has been better.  The bleeding has stopped and I was aloud to take a shower this morning.  I also have not had any cramping.
I really want to get to 34 weeks, which will give my little one the best outcome.  Right now they have me at 31 weeks.  My mother and I figured January 20th would day I was 34 weeks, so that is my goal.  I pray he will stay put that long.  Positive Thinking, that is the best way to go, and that is what I am going to do.  January 20th is a good day for him to be born.  We are thinking of naming him Carson, but not quite sure yet.  Jared loves the name Ryder, but I'm not so sure.  I will let you all know as soon as I do.  Thankyou to everyone for following my blog and for all the texts and phone calls and prayers.  It really helps.

Ultrasound Time

I had my second ultrasound since I have been here.  The first one was the day I arrived here in Boise to see my fluid level.  Yesterday they did the second one and I went from 17 to 14 in fluids.  I am not really sure what the measurements are but the doctor said that was amazing and means the baby is going to do very well so long as the fluids don't get down to a 6.  So that was awesome news!!!!  And I learned something new too, the fluids in the amniotic sack are from my babies pee....lol.
My cousin Brandy has been here with me for the past week.  She had her baby girl, Ariana, last week before I arrived here.  They might get to take her home today.  She had been in the NICU for over a week and was taken off of the lights and is doing very well.  Yay, she gets to take her beautiful baby girl home.  I will miss having her around though.  Her and her husband Paul have been stopping into see me every evening.  I have loved there company.

First Week at the Hospital

How to start, how to start, well....  I went into my Doctor in Hailey early Wednesday morning, Dec. 15th and found out I had a ruptured membrane. Soooo I was life flighted to Boise that day and here I am, pretty much a simple version of all the craziness that happened.
A ruptured membrane pretty much means I have a small tear in my water.  Luckily, baby and I are very healthy so we had a ton of water in there to spare.  The scariest was Wednesday, Thursday and Friday because the doctors didn't know if I was going to go into labor.  But by Saturday everything had calmed down and my little one decided he would stay put for while, thank goodness.
Sooooo here I am starting a blog about him (it's a boy), and our little adventure.  I will be here in Boise till he is born on bed rest to this blog will be my journal and also to let everyone know how we are doing.
Thankyou to everyone too who called, emailed, texted, and helped out those first few days.  It was really scary and I appreciate all the emotional support. xoxox  Also a special thankyou to my Mom and Jared who were right there beside me the entire time.  I love you both.
